Who designed 1428 Brickell?
The residences at 1428 Brickell were designed by ACPV Architects, the Milan studio led by Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel, with Arquitectonica as the architect of the 70-story tower and ArquitectonicaGEO on the landscape. Citterio and Viel designed the homes, the kitchens, the staircases in the two-story residences and the guest suites.
A correction for anyone who read an earlier version of this page: Rockwell Group is not part of this project. The developer's purchaser's guide lists ACPV Architects as designer and Arquitectonica as architect, and that is the team.
What is inside a 1428 Brickell residence?
The homes are delivered finished and ready to move in, with lighting, wall detailing, closets and flooring in place. Every residence faces Biscayne Bay, with floor-to-ceiling glass and flow-through layouts. Ceilings start at 11 feet and rise to 30 feet in select residences, and entries are double doors into a private foyer.
That finished delivery matters more than people think. In a lot of Brickell towers you close on a gray box or a basic finish and then spend a year and a lot of money on interiors. Here the Citterio design is the product you are buying.
What are the kitchens and bathrooms like?
Kitchens are designed by Antonio Citterio with Arclinea and Vaselli cabinetry made in Italy, Italian marble countertops and limestone backsplashes, and a fully integrated Gaggenau package: paneled refrigerator and freezer, wine refrigerator, convection and steam ovens and a built-in coffee machine. A Rimadesio glass enclosure lets you open the kitchen to the living space or close it off.
Primary bathrooms have oversized travertine showers, free-standing sculptural tubs, split vanities with Citterio-designed Axor fixtures and dual private water closets.
How does the design carry into the amenities?
About 80,000 square feet of amenities serve 189 residences. Citterio designed the furnished guest suites on Level 10. The top of the tower holds a 10,000 square foot wellness club on Level 66, a two-story owners club with a double-height wine and spirits lounge and private dining on Level 67, and a rooftop pool on Level 70. Level 7 is the family level: resort pool, aquatic therapy area, cinema and children's spaces.
What does the architecture add?
Arquitectonica's tower has an organic form with a botanical garden at its base and a guarded, gated entrance with a porte-cochere. On the west facade, more than 500 photovoltaic glass panels, over 20,000 square feet of energy-producing glass, partially power the building, which the developer describes as the first high-rise residential tower in the world partially powered by the sun.
Residences currently offered run from $4.1 million to $8.79 million per the developer's September 2026 availability, and the deposit schedule is 5/5/10/10/10 with 60% at closing. Call me at 786-474-9627 for floor plans of the lines still available.
